Our serving ministries have three main pathways:

Friends with our neighbors • Check our weekly newsletter for a schedule of activities: Stretch & Tone (senior exercise Tuesdays and Thursdays), or Crafting Club on Fridays. We’ve offered health and wellness classes such as “Nutrition for Adults” to our neighbors. During Covid-19, we adapted our annual Christmas Day Banquet to provide a safer carryout format. Our annual Family Fun Fest has been on hold, but we hope to find new ways to connect with local families.

Partners in our community • When we work with others, we accomplish more than we could alone! By talking with community leaders, we’ve found ways to make a difference. We’ve supported teachers and families at Roosevelt Elementary. Every year, we raise money for Haven of Oakland County with a Souper Bowl fundraiser.

Helping those in need • Food insecurity is a continuing need in our community, and we are committed to helping. We provide for others via the Blessing Box (24/7 emergency food), Easter and Thanksgiving food baskets, Bloomfield on the River Food Pantry, and Hope Warming Center meals. We launched a monthly Diabetic Food Pantry in September of 2021. In addition to food ministries, every year, our “Cover Girls” Quilting Group makes quilts that are shared worldwide via Lutheran World Relief.
